A valid and reliable test that is easy to administer allows subject teachers, community sports coaches and trainers to:
1) see a data-driven picture of children's movement behavior.
2) better respond to the individual development needs of each child.
3) examine the effectiveness of current sports lessons.
In recent years, the HAN Sport and Exercise has been working on an instrument, the BLOC test, which meets all 3 points. The BLOC test is an amalgamation of two existing tests; the KTK (Korper Köordinationstest für Kinder (Kiphardt & Schilling, 1974,2007) and an eye-hand coordination test (Faber et al., 2014).
In 45 minutes you can test a group of 25 students. By using an application, you don't spend time on administration and you get insight into each child's ability immediately after entering the test scores.
