INFORMATION BLOC-TEST

The BLOC test gives you as a subject teacher insight into the current skills and potential of students in the field of sports and movement.

The test consists of measuring movement skills through 4 tests.

Measuring fundamental movement skills

Tests to measure fundamental movement skills primarily measure gross motor skills and eye-hand coordination. Unlike strength and endurance, these physical skills are easily tested at an early age. Doing these tests repeatedly increases the understanding of a child's motor skill and development, and is therefore highly recommended.

The test consists of four parts:

1. Backward balancing over three different balance beams | lesson card
2. Moving sideways by moving a board and then standing on it | lesson card
3. Jumping sideways back and forth over a bar | lesson card
4. Throw ball against wall and catch with opposite hand | lesson card

Impact BLOC-test

The test provides valuable information for better, average and below-average movers alike.
Sports schools or schools that pay attention to excellence can use the BLOC test to detect above-average movers and offer a follow-up program. The test also offers the possibility to identify children at 'the bottom' and to stimulate children to participate in a follow-up program (e.g. MRT, club Xtra). The BLOC test can also be used as part of a student monitoring system in which the development of students over time can be visualized.

Training

The BLOC test is part of the exercise program. Before you start the exercise program and can actually perform the exercise test, it is important that you attend training.
The training is designed to ensure that everyone performs the tests in the same way to ensure validity and reliability.
